This is a blog both for keeping friends and family up to date with what’s going on with me personally as well as sharing thoughts about life, God, and ministry. Since there’s quite a diversity of topics, you can sort the posts by what you’re primarily interested in by using the categories on the right column of the page.
My hometown is Alma, AR. I graduated from the Walton College of the University of Arkansas Fayetteville in May 2008 with a degree in Business Management. I interned with the college ministry Campus Crusade for Christ for 2 years, promoting the development of multiplying spiritual movements at the U of A by training spiritual leaders, teaching them how to grow in biblical faith in Christ and how to teach others to do the same.
During my time with CCC, I became convinced that I wanted to be a vocational minister long-term. Knowing this, I decided to move to Louisville KY in the fall of 2010 to study at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am pursuing a Masters of Divinity in Theology, with a concentration in Christian Ministry (a standard track for preparation for pastoral ministry with the most freedom to choose elective classes).
I am a huge fan of Razorback sports (football and basketball are my favorites) and am an alumnus of the Razorback Marching Band. I enjoy studying the Bible, playing basketball and ultimate, reading, analyzing and synthesizing information, teaching, watching movies, listening to music, playing the piano, board games, spending time with good friends, and helping people understand how to have a right relationship with God.
